May 19, 1989 — The Seed Planted

Rev. Dr. Moon-Sun Lee and his wife Mrs. Young-Seon Lee, missionaries from the Presbyterian Church of Korea, arrived in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. Rev. Lee completed his Master of Theology studies at Silliman University Divinity School and recognized the urgent calling to raise faithful pastors and educational leaders among Filipino youth.

Arrival in Dumaguete 1989
1992 — Official College Establishment

Seeing that underprivileged young people were marginalized from tertiary education due to steep costs, Rev. and Mrs. Lee established Presbyterian Theological College with the prayer and financial partnership of churches in Korea. PTC was formally incorporated and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Campus Building
2008 — DepEd Recognition of Basic Education

To provide foundational Christian character development from early childhood, PTC expanded into basic education. The Preschool, Elementary School, and Junior High School departments received full accreditation and formal government recognition from the Department of Education (DepEd).

2016 — Senior High School (HUMSS & GAS)

Under the Philippine K-12 national reform, PTC established its Senior High School department offering the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) and General Academic Strand (GAS), preparing students with academic research competencies for university matriculation.

2026 & Beyond — The Smart AI Theological Campus

Today, PTC stands as an advanced center for biblical scholarship and missionary training, offering undergraduate (B.Th) and graduate degrees (M.Div, Th.M, Ph.D). By introducing hybrid cloud LMS, adaptive AI research tools, and international church networks, PTC equips leaders for global ecclesiastical impact.
